华尔街对特朗普移民政策早存警惕，认为其会破坏美国劳动力市场根基。上周五美国劳工统计局下修5月及6月非农数据，似证实此担忧。
摩根大通首席全球策略师戴维·凯利警告，因美国劳动力面临人口紧缩，且移民政策发生历史性变化，未来五年美国或不再有工人数量增长。
上周五美国就业报告令人震惊，5月和6月新增就业岗位数量下调25.6万个，7月新增仅7.3万个，过去三个月平均月新增仅3.5万个。
凯利报告指出，7月美国失业率小幅升至4.2%，就业人口和劳动参与率下滑。劳动参与率从去年7月62.25%降至今年62.22%，16岁及以上工作或求职人口减少近120万。
他认为，此结果一半因大量劳动人口退休，18至54岁年龄段人口劳动参与率也下降，这或是美国深层次人口挑战的表现。
