印度金达尔钢铁有限公司（Jindal Steel Limited，JSL）4月6日发布公告，宣布已实现本土煤炭衍生合成气在炼钢多流程的商业化应用。此举使JSL成为全球钢铁行业首家大规模应用煤气化技术的企业，其建成的印度首座煤气化直接还原铁（DRI）工厂，已依托合成气开展炼铁作业。
目前，JSL已将合成气应用场景..焦煤的依赖，同时优化吨钢碳排放强度。本土煤炭合成气可替代进口甲醇、氨、硝酸铵及液化天然气（LNG）；煤气化技术与碳捕集技术耦合，将助力公司满足出口市场碳边界调节机制（CBAM）的合规要求。
