东盟区域电动汽车电池产业及矿产下游深加工对关键矿产需求呈刚性增长，印尼与菲律宾借此契机强化镍产业协同。双方于5月7日在菲律宾宿务举办的高层商务圆桌会议上，由印尼镍矿协会（APNI）与菲律宾镍业协会（PNIA）正式达成镍产业发展战略合作备忘录（MOU）。
依据美国地质调查局（USGS）2026年数据，2025年印尼与菲律宾合计贡献全球73.6%的镍产量：其中印尼以260万吨产量占比66.7%，菲律宾27万吨占比6.9%，形成全球镍资源供给的核心力量。
