2026年6月17日，印尼能源与矿产资源部矿产与煤炭总局矿业经营指导司司长切切普·穆罕默德·亚辛在雅加达印尼经济与金融发展研究所举办的关键矿产对话会上表示，关键矿产正成为影响国家竞争力和产业发展的重要战略资源，印尼需提升矿产和煤炭资源开发利用水平，推动向高附加值、可持续发展方向转型。
切切普指出，地缘政治紧张、供应链重构、气候变化及能源转型加速正重塑全球能源和矿产产业格局，能源安全内涵已从供应保障扩展至战略资源掌控能力。作为全球镍资源储量最丰富国家，印尼镍按当前年产量1.9亿吨测算可支撑约31年开采；锡储量全球第二，按年产量6.5万吨可满足约22年需求，同时拥有全球第四..铝土矿储量及丰富铜、金、银、铁矿和煤炭资源。
