港口、航运和水路部于6月23日（周二）在一份声明中援引联合国贸易和发展会议（UNCTAD）的报告称，印度在全球拆船市场的份额从2024年的30.1%上升至2025年的35.4%。

2025年，印度拆船量增至299万总吨（GT），较2024年的186万总吨增长近60%。该部表示：“凭借这一成就，印度海事愿景2030中设定的成为全球领先拆船国的目标已提前实现。”
