外电9月9日消息，巴林为深海采矿公司Impossible Metals向国际海底管理局（ISA）提交的采矿许可证申请提供担保，成为首个支持深海采矿这一新兴行业的中东国家。

Impossible于上周五向ISA递交一份170页的许可证申请，计划在太平洋“克拉里昂 – 克利珀顿区”（简称CCZ）开展采矿作业。该区域分布着..铜、镍及其他金属的多金属结核，极具开采价值。
