非洲金融公司（Africa Finance Corp.）计划在未来几个月内，招标相关公司，以建设一条连接赞比亚富铜地区与通往安哥拉洛比托港现有铁路线的新铁路。

该公司总裁萨迈拉·祖拜鲁（Samaila Zubairu）本周在华盛顿接受采访时表示，此次招标将分为三个部分。预计明年破土动工，届时会授予在安哥拉和赞比亚建设铁路连接线、提供铁路车辆及系统的合同。

自20世纪70年代中国资助并协助建设坦赞铁路后，这条连接赞比亚与洛比托的铁路，将成为赞比亚新建的首条重要铁路。
