艾芬豪大西洋公司（Ivanhoe Atlantic）已完成几内亚孔奎尼（Kon Kweni）铁矿石项目必要的环境与社会影响研究（ESIA），并提交许可申请，计划明年初动工。

这家美国矿业公司表示，ESIA报告的提交，使孔奎尼项目距离施工更进一步，目标是在2026年第一季度开工。除几内亚外，公司还向邻国利比里亚相关部门提交申请，将在该国修建铁矿石出口铁路基础设施。

艾芬豪大西洋公司总裁兼首席执行官布朗温·巴恩斯（Bronwyn Barnes）称，ESIA的完成与提交，对公司及其铁矿石项目而言，是一个“重大里程碑”。他在新闻稿中指出：“孔奎尼项目的开发，对几内亚和利比里亚的经济都有重大贡献，将提供新的高品位铁矿石出口渠道，契合美国关键矿产供应链。”

几内亚的ESIA涉及孔奎尼一期采矿活动，而利比里亚的ESIA则与一期开发的基础设施部分相关。
