6月23日，越南宣天集团宣布，将在越南北部南定省动工建设越南最大且最先进的绿色钢铁基地，项目总投资达98万亿越南盾，约合37.4亿美元。
该项目主要有三项建设内容。其一为占地284.97公顷的1号大型工厂，设计年产能750万吨，总投资88万亿越南盾，约合34.5亿美元，分3个阶段实施。其主要产品预计涵盖越南国内尚不能生产的高品质热轧钢带产品，如船舶、汽车等领域所用的耐候钢。
其二是占地83.93公顷的2号工厂，投资约10万亿ȶ..废钢为原料生产，设计年产能为200万吨低碳排放钢。
