据日经新闻3月25日报道，索尼集团与本田汽车正考虑终止双方合作的纯电动汽车AFEELA研发项目。
负责该项目生产的本田已调整电动汽车战略，导致合作难以推进。今年3月12日，本田宣布取消北美市场三款原计划电动车型，因战略重估预计产生2.5万亿日元（约157亿美元）费用与损失，2025财年净亏损预期区间为4200亿至6900亿日元，此前目标为实现3000亿日元净利润。
索尼本田移动出行（Sony Honda Mobility Inc.）于2022年成立，初衷是重构汽车概念，将出行场景转化为动漫、游戏等娱乐体验的载体。但成立以来亏损持续扩大，截至2023...520亿日元（约3.62亿美元），上一财年亏损为205亿日元。
