日前，小鹏汽车在官网发布IP设计工程师岗位招聘需求。职位描述中，小鹏期望该岗位负责超大规模AI芯片中处理器核设计，涵盖RISC-V及其向量扩展、AI领域加速器等，应用于芯片的片上系统管理、调度、通用计算加速及AI领域计算加速等。市场观点认为，小鹏此举意味着正式涉足RISC-V智驾芯片开发。不过，小鹏汽车方面向《科创板日报》记者回应，此为“基于正常业务需求的招聘岗位”。
RISC-V作为精简指令集，其可裁剪架构与高可配置性，使其天然适用于资源受限的嵌入式与控制类芯片。在应用场景方面，除消费电子、计算机外，汽车被视为RISC-V极具前景的落地方向之一。据SHD Group报告统计预测，2024 – 2031年，基于RISC-V的SoC芯片市场渗透率将从5.9%增至25.7% ，到2031年RISC-V出货量将超200亿颗，汽车市场份额占31%。
