本周，中国国务院副总理刘国中出席了几内亚西芒杜铁矿项目的投产仪式，据中国官方媒体新华社周三报道。
该项目位于西非国家几内亚，中方持股75%，预计年产能达1.2亿吨 ，有望成为全球最大的高品位铁矿项目。其产出的铁矿石对于全球钢铁价值链的绿色转型至关重要。
据新华社消息，中国副总理称该项目是近70年来中国与几内亚以及整个非洲友谊与合作的成果，并强调其将为几内亚经济发展及 “西芒杜2040” 战略的实施做出贡献。
西芒杜四个采矿区块中，两个由新加坡...铝铁矿控股以及几内亚政府的合资企业力拓西芒杜（Rio Tinto SimFer）掌控。
