据BNAmericas网站消息，巴西政府计划成立委员会，负责绘制该国矿产资源潜力详图，尤其是关键矿产。在与美国贸易关系紧张之际，此问题愈发凸显。

巴西总统卢拉28日于电视讲话中称，美国对巴西关键矿产感兴趣。他表示，若连自己都不了解却已被列为关键矿产，会将其保留，不会让他国轻易拿走。

卢拉还提到，巴西70%的领土和资源尚未勘探，需授权企业在政府控制下进行。企业获得发现后，相关资源不能售卖，因这属于巴西人民，他们应从资源财富中受益。
